The Caballeros have long been known for innovation and excellence in Honduran coffee, and this washed lot from their family farm is no exception. It features Batian, a Kenyan variety known for its large beans, high cup quality, and resilience against disease. Originally bred in Ruiru, Kenya and released in 2010, Batian is a hybrid of several varieties found in Kenya, including SL28, SL34, and Sudan Rume. This prized cultivar finds new expression in the hands of Marysabel and Moisés Caballero, third-generation coffee producers carrying on their family’s legacy of excellence.
