We've designed a special selection bundle for the holidays composed of three of our most exquisite coffees of the year.

Bolivia Finca Takesi Geisha

Iturralde family farm's extraordinary elevation seems to intensify the flavors of all its coffees, amplifying the tantalizing floral aromatics and tropical fruit flavors that are the hallmarks of the Geisha cultivar. The long list of tasting notes generated by our Quality Control team reveals an extraordinary combination of delicate floral notes (floral, jasmine, hibiscus), fruit flavors (blackberry, black currant, black grape, honeydew, nectartine, lime, pineapple), and relentless sweetness (blackstrap molasses, turbinado sugar, honey). We lost Don Carlos in 2021, but he left the farm in the able hands of his daughter Mariana and left us all a lasting gift in the annual harvest of Finca Takesi Geisha. It won’t be around for long, and you can’t find it anywhere else in the United States.

Flavor notes: Mango, Nectarine, Floral

Peru La Palestina Geisha

This is Geisha, a variety that needs no introduction. But the Geisha seed planted here has a special provenance. The Alarcón Coronel family's delegate to the 2018 Intelligentsia Extraordinary Coffee Workshop in Bolivia brought the seed back with him. That seed, in turn, was introduced to Bolivia courtesy of another ECW connection in Central America years earlier. And one day, probably not too far off, other friends of Intelligentsia will visit La Palestina and leave with seed in their pockets, bound for a farm far, far away, where they will turn it into something beautiful.

Flavor notes: Floral, Strawberry, Mandarin Orange

Ethiopia Gesha Village 1931 Natural

This variety is named for the year and place it was catalogued by researchers from Kew Gardens during a botanic expedition in Ethiopia. It is the genetic forebear of the Panamanian Geisha that changed specialty coffee forever when it burst onto the scene in the mid-2000s.

Flavor notes: Strawberry, Raspberry, Blood Orange

PLEASE NOTE: This bundle is available as whole bean only.
This bundle will roast every other Thursday from Chicago while supplies last. Bundle ships the same day it is roasted.

Next Roast: 12/15
Bundle consists of three bags of coffee, 7 ounces each.

    How To Brew

We recommend starting with a 1:18 coffee-to-water ratio, which provides an excellent total extraction level and maximizes flavor pulled out of the ground coffee. For our single origin coffees we recommend a pour over method either on a Chemex, V60 or Kalita Wave on a 5 or 6 grind setting if you are ordering from intelligentsia.com.
